The false facades of smiling faces, Heart of darkness, behind them races. Vices of night, the virtues of light, Shadows of man, His grace erases. (written while daydreaming during the most boring morning patient rounds ever) | | |
| "Nothing New" The wisdom of youth, foolishness of age The fool is set free, within wisdom's cage. Inevitable bars bind the insane All who toil within, grasp about in vain. Wisdom's vanities will rain down dismay, For a fool's faith, to the heavens I pray. | | |

I try to give all that I can Struggle with fear to be that man A giver.
I promised to give what is dear My mind clear and my heart sincere I give her.
I ache from voids of sacrifice The vice of men, and those of mice I shiver.
I grasp for guidance from a helping hand So unwaivering that I may stand and Deliver

Where are you going? Galloping to the brink of insanity. Expectations, your blinders Monochromic, your dreams. Meaninglessly enslaved by the victorious jockey. Society.
Is defeat so far from victory? Taking yourself so seriously Your life held by gossamer puppet strings. We're all bound by humanity Chained to its all-knowing whimsy. Vulnerability.
Why not relinquish your grasp? Stay awhile, catch your breath Rest your weary hands and feet Swim with me through technicolored dreams. What will be, will be. Serendipity.
